Welcome to Mt Hiwi Lodge
The lodge is located on a ridge overlooking over 80 acres of private bush, which borders a 6-7 acre lake for the exclusive use of guests. A 40min scenic country drive from Wanganui, the lodge is a self-catering private retreat suitable for up to 12 people. It is even more perfect when there is just the two of you!

The lodge has a fully appointed kitchen and full bathroom, shower, toilet and laundry facilities. It boasts large open plan living areas and is heated by a wood fire. There is also a wood/ gas heated outdoor bath to enjoy those special moments. There is a large lawn suitable for games and plenty of room for tents. The lodge is the perfect retreat for those wanting privacy and seclusion, a real chance to get away from the stresses of modern life.

The surrounding bush boasts an impressive array of native flora and fauna; native bird life is also in abundance including fern birds, spotless crakes, wood pigeon, north island robin and NZ falcon. There is also brown kiwi known to be in the area.

Mt Hiwi Lodge has several walking tracks through its private native bush and will definitely be an enjoyable and challenging outing. The lodge is the perfect retreat for those wanting privacy and seclusion, a real chance to get away from the stresses of modern life.
